四氢呋喃，英文缩写为THF（Tetrahydrofuran），是一类杂环有机化合物.属于醚类，是芳香族化合物呋喃的完全氢化产物。 在化学反应和萃取时用做一种中等极性的非质子溶剂。四氢呋喃是一种无色、低粘度的液体，具有类似乙醚的气味。室温时四氢呋喃与水能部分混溶，部分不法试剂商就是利用这一点对四氢呋喃试剂兑水牟取暴利。四氢呋喃在储存时容易变成过氧化物。因此，商用的四氢呋喃经常是用BHT，即2,6一二叔丁基對甲酚来防止氧化。四氢呋喃可以通过氢氧化钠置于密封瓶中存放在暗处保存。

工业上用催化氢化呋喃的办法制造四氢呋喃。呋喃来自呋喃甲醛的催化脱羰，而呋喃甲醛（又叫糠醛）则来自农业副产品玉米杆的酸性水解。

• 溶剂

重要的有机溶剂。许多化学反应都是在四氢呋喃中进行的。常见的有格林试剂制备反应，酯类水解（用碱性含水四氢呋喃），烯醇盐参与的反应，等等。

• 试剂

四氢呋喃也可以作为有机合成反应的试剂。它本身是一种C4合成子。可以在路易斯酸催化下受亲核试剂进攻开环。

• 聚合物单体

四氢呋喃可以在一些路易斯酸催化下（比如TMSOTf）发生开环自聚合反应，生成聚醚树脂。
